A delicate yet expressive study of the timeless rose, created from an original artwork by Wendy Laverick.

Loose washes of blush pink and soft crimson are allowed to bloom and move freely across the paper, before being brought to life with spontaneous hand-drawn lines, subtle splashes and understated green foliage. Areas are deliberately left unresolved, allowing the beauty of the original drawing and the movement of the pigment to remain visible.

The result is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional botanical subject – romantic without being overly pretty, and designed to bring a subtle statement of colour to both modern and country-inspired interiors.
